Lentojen buukkaus osa 2 // Booking flights part 2

Buukkasin kotimatkan lennot samalla tyylillä kuin viimeksi eli vertailemalla hintoja skyskannerista, momondosta ja lentoyhtiöiden omilta sivuilta. Ensimmäinen postaus löytyy täältä.
Tällä kertaa meni niin, että kaikki lennot tuli varattua suoraan lentoyhtiöiltä, aina ei siis kannata ajatella, että ne ovat se kallein vaihtoehto.
Seurailin lentoja jokusen viikon, jotta sai tuntumaa mitkä yhtiöt, viikonpäivät ja ajat ovat halpoja ja tietysti meidän aikatauluun sopivia. En niin paljoa jaksanut näihin panostaa kuin tännepäin tultaessa, mutta kyllä suht halvat lennot onnistuin meille löytämään. Mukavuudenhalu on alkanut myös vaikuttaa lentoihin eli ei tee mieli laskeutua mihinkään keskellä yötä tai hypätä siihen aamu kuuden koneeseen jos ei ole pakko. Tämä näkyy esim. Christchurchin lippujen hinnassa. Lennot buukkasin juhannuksen tienoilla eli noin 1,5-2 kuukautta ennen lentoja.

Lähdimme siis 1.8. Sydneystä Uuteen-Seelantiin Christchurchiin. Uudessa-Seelannissa vietämme camping-elämää kolmisen viikkoa, jonka jälkeen paratiisi kutsuu eli Fidzi. En malta odottaa jo tuota Fidzin lämpöä, sen verran kylmää kyytiä on jo ollut.
Fidzillä olemme viikon, josta suuntaamme kohti Yhdysvaltoja. Länsirannikolla, Los Angelesissa ja San Franciscossa vietämme kaksi viikkoa, jonka jälkeen lennämme New Yorkiin. Siellä olemme viikon ja sitten koittaakin jo sen viimeisen lennon aika eli Oslon kautta Helsinkiin. Suomessa ollaan perjantaina 16.9. Vastaanottokomitetaan haluavat voivat olla tarkemmin yhteydessä kellonajoista :)
Ai niin ja samallahan tässä tulee tehtyä maailmanympärysmatka, aika hienoa!

I booked the home bound flights the same way as last time, by checking sites like Momondo, Skyscanner and airlines own websites. You can find the first post from here.
I didn't spend as much time as last time but still for a couple of weeks I was just checking good dates and times to fly.
This time I didn't use any travel companies but booked all flights straight from the airlines. I managed to get pretty cheap flights but I also paid more attention to how convenient The flights were. For instance we could have flown cheaper to Christchurch in the middle of night but that would have been very convenient, plus we couldn't have gotten our van plus it's forbidden to sleep at the airport.
I booked the flights about 1,5 - 2 months before the trips.

We arrived to Christchurch on 1 August and are staying in New Zealand for three weeks. We will be living in a campervan and traveling around the whole time, except the last two nights. After that we'll fly to Fiji for 8 days and finally enjoy the warm weather. From there we head to US and stay a week in L.A., San Francisco and New York. On 15 September it's time for the final trip back home. We'll be stopping in Oslo and are back in Finland on Friday 16 September.
Making an around the world trip is pretty cool ;)
