Kuvat kertovat enemmän kuin tuhat sanaa // Pictures tell more than thousand words

Ihan alkuun oikein hyvää vappupäivää kaikille! Toivottavasti on mennyt juhlinnat mukavasti ja munkkeja ja simaa on vedetty meidänkin edestä :D Koska kukaan ei jaksa tänään keskittyä lukemaan mitään niin en jaarittele turhia ;)

Kuvat kertovat enemmän kuin tuhat sanaa, joten niitä on reilusti tässä postauksessa. 

Viimeiset viikot tai oikeastaan koko alkuvuosi on mennyt enemmän ja vähemmän töitä tehdessä. Ensin jojobat, sitten luumut ja nyt ollaan takasin jojobafarmilla. 

Melbournessa tuli pyörähdettyä formuloita katsomassa ja sitten on tehty vaan "maakuntamatkailua" eli tässä n. 500 km säteellä oman osavaltion sisällä. 

Narranderassa käytiin bongaamassa koaloita ja onnistuttiinkin näkemään kaksi luonnonvaraista :)

Ihan meidän farmin lähellä sijaitsee Cocoparran kansallispuisto, jossa ollaan käyty pariin otteeseen. Ensimmäisellä kerralla oltiin yötä ja käytiin pienellä "bushwalkilla" ja sitten viikko sitten käytiin Mount Brogdenilla parin tunnin patikkaretkellä. On kyllä hieno paikka ja upeet maisemat ylhäältä. Harmi vaan, että maasto on aika yksitoikkoista ja karua kävellä. Ilari bongasi huipulta vuohia ja sitten ollaan nähty kenguruja ja wallabeja. 

Jojobapapujen sadonkorjuu alkoi kolmisen viikkoa sitten ja se vasta pölystä puuhaa onkin. Me ei traktoreita ajella, mutta autetaan kuorman purkamisesta ja voi pojat sitä hiekkapölyn määrää...

Vielä töitä varmaan toukokuu ja sitten eteenpäin taas. Muistakaahan katsoa lopusta loppukevennys ;)

Pictures tell more than thousand words so there's a lot of them in this post. The last weeks or actually the whole beginning of the year we have been working more or less. First we worked with the jojoba, then prunes and now with jojoba again. 

We took a short trip to Melbourne to see the F1's. After that we have been just taken weekend trips inside the state. We went to Narrandera to see the koalas and managed to see two in the wild. 

Right next to our farm is Cocoparra National park where we have visited a couple of times. First time we spent a night there and took a bushwalk up to the mountains. Ilari managed to spot some mountain goats (big ones..) and then we have seen kangaroos and wallabies. Last week we took a two hour hike to Mount Brogden. It was a bit boring since the land is very harsh but the view from up the mountain was beautiful. 

The harvesting of jojoba beans started three weeks ago and it's such a messy job! We are not driving the tractors but just helping to unload the beans and the sand dust gets everywhere... I guess we're working until the end of May and then it's time to travel again :) Remember to check the last video of the post ;)
